Privacy Statement

Compliance with The Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2017

Security:

GMTS takes the security of your information seriously and employs the most appropriate measures, including staff training and awareness, to protect your data.

Use of Data:

We only use the data you enter on this site to contact you about booking your training. Regarding your booking, we do not share this data with any third parties except for the States of Guernsey.

Data Retention:

Your booking data is retained while we process your booking and will be deleted no later than two years after you complete your training.
Once you have completed your CBT or DA, we keep records for five years:

  • Date of your CBT/DA
  • First and Last Name
  • License Number
  • Bike Registration (number plate)
  • License Category
  • Automatic or Manual transmission

You may contact us anytime to have your data removed by confirming your booking reference.

Subject Access Requests:

You may contact us anytime to request a copy of your data held on this site. We will process this request within one month of receiving it.

Parental Consent:

Students under 18 must obtain parental/legal guardian consent before entering their details on any part of the site. We only collect the minimum personal data relevant to training bookings. You may at any time request confirmation of the data held and a request to delete it.

Complaint Resolution:

In the first instance, please contact GMTS directly to allow us to resolve your complaint. If you still have concerns after contacting us, you may escalate your complaint to The Office of the Data Protection Authority (ODPA).
